China Telecom Cloud Computing Inner Mongolia Information Park, which began construction in 2012, is 25 kilometers south of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region.

With investment of 17.35 billion yuan ($2.5 billion), the park covers 1,500 mu (100 hectares)  and is an operations and internet data center for China Telecom's cloud computing business.

The park aims to provide trusteeship and administration services for mainframe computers and to establish a comprehensive platform for cloud computing.

Statistics show that the three tech giants Baidu, Alibaba, Tencent, more than 57 well-known internet companies, as well as large enterprises and institutions at home and abroad have established cloud computing bases in the park.

At present, the installed capacity of servers in the park has reached 700,000. It is estimated that the number of servers will reach 3 million by 2020, with industrial output reaching 100 billion yuan, a year-on-year growth of 20 percent.
