SAFEA official attends 2018 Project Management Conference

Xia Mingjiu, member of the Leading Party Members’ Group of the Ministry of Science and Technology, attended the 2018 Project Management Conference in Beijing on Oct 20.

In his speech, Xia said that in recent years, China has actively introduced advanced foreign knowledge systems, and cultivated international professional talents on a large scale. In the future, China will further promote this work to contribute to China's scientific and technological innovation and high-quality development.

Before the meeting, Xia met with Mark Langley, President and CEO of the American Project Management Institute (PMI), and exchanged ideas on intellectual exchange and international project management personnel training. Xia expressed his gratitude to PMI for its long-term efforts in the development of knowledge of international project management systems in China. The SAFEA Training Center and PMI will continue to strengthen cooperation in the future, and further promote the training of international project management talents.

Langley said that the success of the PMI project management knowledge systems in China stems from a good 20-year partnership between PMI and the SAFEA Training Center. In the future, the two sides will continue to communicate in depth to achieve common progress.
