Twenty-one officials from marine fishery departments from six members of the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) are studying coastal zone management in Xiamen, Fujian province, from Nov 1 to 10.
The officials are from the Philippines, Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia and Vietnam.
During their stay in the city, they will attend lectures and visit demonstration areas involved in coastal zone management and leading local companies in the marine industry.
The visitors will also be invited to attend the 2018 Xiamen World Ocean Forum, an important part of the 2018 World Ocean Week in Xiamen.
It is the second time that the activity, launched by China's Ministry of Natural Resources, has been held in the city.
