The Binghu Valley Scenic Spot, located in Jiaohe city in Jilin province, is hidden in a dense forest that lies 35 kilometers away from downtown Jiaohe and 45 kilometers outside of Jilin city.
Though known as the “Jiuzhai Valley of northeastern China”, few have set foot in the area, which allows the place to maintain its peaceful natural environment and makes it even more enticing for modern city dwellers to adventure into.
The best time of year to visit the scenic spot is in autumn, when the weather is neither too cold nor too hot and the trees turn red and yellow. The streams running through the lush, colorful forests, birds flying and twittering above the crystal blue sky and the frozen lake reflecting the vigor and vitality of the nature will make one feel as though they have stepped into a delicate dream.
Words are not enough to describe the natural beauty of Binhu Valley. The best way to enjoy it is to spend an afternoon floating on the tranquil lake, hiking up the green hills or even just lying on the grass and enjoying the bright sunshine.
