Dalian mayor meets delegation from Ota, Japan

Tan Chengxu, mayor of Dalian, Northeast China's Liaoning province, met with a delegation from Ota in Tokyo, Japan, on Oct 25.

Tan explained the economic and social development of the city to the delegation, as well as the city's trade exchanges with Japan.

Dalian established friendly and cooperative relations with Ota in 2009, and has since developed cooperation between two sides in areas including economy and trade, culture and education.

In May this year, a delegation from Dalian visited Japan and strengthened ties with Ota.

Tan said that this year marks the 40th anniversary of the signing of the China-Japan Treaty of Peace and Friendship, and he expected further cooperation between the two places.
