Harbin aims to build modern industrial system

Harbin recently issued a document to promote the development of key industries in the city, aiming to build a new competitive modern industrial system.

There are 81 items in the document, including key technologies, products and projects in the service sector.

The document will help the city with industrial upgrade, resource conservation and environmental protection.

Harbin government encourages development of eight green food industries in the document, including deep-processing of soybean and rice.

For the equipment manufacturing industry, the government attaches great importance to the development of 11 industries, including aerospace equipment and automobile manufacturing.

The government also supports the development of the bioengineering and pharmaceutical industry, including biological vaccines and regenerative medicine.

For the service sector, the document mainly supports projects in the sectors of logistics service, financial service, technological service and health care industry.

The document also encourages companies to establish their headquarters in Harbin and participate in the building and operation in the city's industrial parks.
