The 11th Cross-Straits Cultural Industry Fair is scheduled to take place at the International Convention and Exhibition Center in Xiamen, Fujian province from Nov 2 to 5.
Themed on inheriting from the past and creating the future, the fair acts as the most important platform for the cooperation between cross-Straits cultural industry.
Covering an area of 73,000 square meters, the fair will set up 3,440 booths this year, including five exhibition areas: leading companies in Chinese mainland and Taiwan, handicrafts, creative design, digital film and television, and cultural tourism.
The fair plans to establish a Taiwan Dailylife Pavilion, the first tryout over the past 10 years, where 424 Taiwan companies will showcase a total of 10,000 exhibits and students from the design school of Taiwan universities will also display their creative works.
During the fair, experts from cross-Straits cultural industry will be invited to give lectures on cultural exchanges and the integration of cultural industry between Chinese mainland and Taiwan.
The fair is sponsored by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China, the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, the National Radio and Television Administration and Fujian Provincial Government, and organized by Xiamen Municipal Government and Taiwan Cultural Creative Association.
