12 Xiamen firms attend trade fair in Macao

Twelve Xiamen firms led by deputy director of the city's Convention and Exhibition Bureau attended the 23rd Macao International Trade and Investment Fair (MIF) from Oct 17 to 21.

The Xiamen bureau set up eight booths at the Macao fair to promote Xiamen's MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) industry, Xiamen Industry Fair and the China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT).

Yang Shaojing, deputy director of Xiamen's Convention and Exhibition Bureau, also promoted the city's MICE industry at the first Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area City MICE Industry Cooperation Forum.

During their stay in Macao, the Xiamen delegation visited the Macao Trade and Investment Promotion Institute, the Macao Xiamen Fellowship Association, the Macao Convention and Exhibition Association and the Association of Study of Environmental Science and Technology of Macao.

The MIF, aimed at promoting trade and investment between Chinese mainland and Portuguese-speaking countries, attracted companies from more than 50 countries and regions this year.
