In the latest round of industrial revolution in China, Guizhou has foreseen the future of the manufacturing industry and taken lessons from the experiences of industrial internet development projects in Germany and the United States to build its own online platform that will spur economic development.
When big data industry started to emerge in Guizhou in 2014, Guizhou utilized the policy bonus and subsidiary resources to integrate the Industrial Intelligent Cloud System (INDICS) developed by China Aerospace Science and Industry Corp (CASIC) with Guizhou companies.
INDICS is based on the needs of the current situation of industrial internet development in China and designed to meet the requirements of China's manufacturing patterns.
Using mature network information technologies, it provides customized cloud storage and cloud computing services, and helps companies to innovate and optimize operating systems.
The most significant feature of INDICS is that it provides individual resource packages to small and medium-sized companies, allowing them to save on R&D costs and the design cycles of products.
So far, INDICS has launched 26,400 products with over 140,000 registered users while becoming adept at providing in-depth analysis on the trends and applications of industrial big data. Companies can accomplish intelligent transformation with the help of the industrial development platform, cloud manufacturing, the industrial product mall, innovation and entrepreneurship, and other functional blocks of INDICS.
The success of INDICS relies on a series of supporting policies released by Guizhou government over the past few years. According to an implementation plan released this year, Guizhou will finish the preliminary construction of its industrial internet system by 2020.
By then, Guizhou will help with the transformation of 3,000 companies, build six industrial online platforms, promote over 5,000 industrial apps and launch over 100 demonstration projects integrating industry and internet.
By 2020, Guizhou will have formed an improved and perfected industrial internet system. Promoted by policies and online platforms, Guizhou will keep integrating the manufacturing industry with the internet and help more companies to access cloud computing technology in the future.
