The 10th High-Level Forum on China's Cultural Soft Power Research & the 2nd Tankahee Forum was held in Jimei district, Xiamen, East China's Fujian province on Oct 21. Jimei is the hometown of the well-known patriotic overseas Chinese leader Tan Kah Kee.
With the aim of participating in the Belt and Road Initiative and gathering the strength of overseas Chinese to achieve national rejuvenation, the forum explored ways of deepening reform and opening-up in the new era, and called for joint efforts in building the BRI.
In order to enable overseas Chinese to learn more about the hot-spot issues of the world and the current concerns of China, and to enable experts and scholars from all walks of life on the mainland to better understand the status, roles and influence of overseas Chinese, the organizers decided to host the 2nd Tankahee Forum and the 10th High-Level Forum on China's Cultural Soft Power Research together.
Over 60 guests from relevant state ministries, universities and scientific institutions along with other 200 guests from home and abroad attended the forum.
