Liaoning's CPI in September experienced a rise of two percent year-on-year, 1.4 percentage points lower than the last month, according to the National Bureau of Statistics on Oct 17.
Among the influencing factors towards the change in CPI, vegetable and fruit prices contributed greatly. The improved weather made the production and supply of fresh vegetables return to normal levels, which made the CPI drop by about 0.13 percentage points.
The demand for pork and eggs rose by 0.4 percent and 1.1 percent due to the impact of the Mid-Autumn festival and the National Day holiday, which jointly affected CPI by about 0.02 percentage points. The price of aquatic products fell by 4.7 percent, affecting CPI by about 0.09 percentage points.
Prices of non-food items, like education, housing, clothing and travel also have a significant impact on CPI.
