The 2018 China National Water-Skiing Championship will take place at Zhanjiang's Huguangyan scenic spot from Oct 27 to 29, with more than 70 athletes competing.
Representing multiple cities and provinces, the water skiers will pit their skills against each other in men's and women's trick skiing, slaloming, jumping, triathlons, wakeboarding, and barefoot skiing, in addition to mixed stunt jumps.
The event, the highest level of its kind in the country, will be hosted by the China Water Sports Administration of the General Administration of Sport of China, along with the Chinese Water Ski-Underwater-Motorboat Federation. The Zhanjiang Diving School of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Zhanjiang Huguangyan Scenic Spot Administration will oversee it locally.
Residents will be treated to a flying trapeze show at the opening ceremony on Oct 27.
