Cangzhou Bohai New Area Lingang Economic-Technological Development Zone

Cangzhou Bohai New Area Lingang Economic-Technological Development Zone is the third national-level development zone in Hebei province and the only one in the Cangzhou city.

The zone, with a planned area of 26 square kilometers, is divided into the 18-sq-km eastern part, where located are enterprises related to petrochemical, coal chemical, salt chemical and synthetic material, and the 8-sq-km western part, which is mainly involved in biological medicine and health industries. 

It was certified as a National New Industrialization Industry Demonstration Zone, National Pilot Zone of Atmospheric Environment Warning System Construction, and Sinopec Group (Cangzhou) Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei Industrial Transfer Demonstration Zone. It was also rated as the Hebei Provincial Strategic Emerging Industries (Biological Medicine) Demonstration Base by the Hebei Provincial Development and Reform Commission and the Hebei Provincial Department of Finance, and chosen as one of the Top 20 China Chemical Industrial Park by China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation in 2016.

At present, it has formed a petrochemical industrial chain involving petroleum refining and relative products, such as PVC, TDI, synthesis ammonia, urea and caustic soda, as well as has capabilities to produce hundreds of new chemical materials and related products.

Several circular-economy industrial chains related to coal chemical, salt chemical, hydrogen and chlorine have made 80 percent of the enterprises and projects in the zone closely connected with each other.

It has attracted a number of renowned domestic and foreign enterprises, such as China National Chemical Corp, Hong Kong-based China Resources (Holdings) Co, and France-headquartered water services giant Veolia.
