Harbin, Ukraine sign technology cooperation deals

A scientific and technological innovation cooperation and exchange meeting targeting Harbin and Ukraine kicked off in Harbin, capital city of Heilongjiang province on Oct 13.

The meeting served as a platform for the both sides to strengthen cooperation on scientific research and technology innovation.

Representatives of 12 universities, scientific research institutes and high-tech enterprises from Ukraine were invited to Harbin.

This year’s meeting featured the signing of five deals on technology cooperation between Harbin and Ukraine.

Harbin and Ukraine has a long history of cooperation, especially in the field of technology.

Over the years, through extensive academic exchanges, personnel exchanges, construction of key disciplines and laboratories, and cooperation in research and development of major projects, the two sides have carried out fruitful two-way technology transfer and transformation in new materials, opto-mechanical and electrical integration, modern agriculture, aerospace and other fields, said Kang Hanqing, vice mayor of Harbin.
