A customized smart parking system developed by a Yangzhou company made its debut in the Dream Town in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province on Oct 16, setting a benchmark for smart parking in China.
Located a few kilometers from e-commerce leader Alibaba Group Holding Ltd's headquarters in Hangzhou, Dream Town covers an area of 300 hectares and is the city's incubation center for internet startups.
The smart parking system was launched by ZT Emap, a Yangzhou-based high-tech company founded in 2006. A total of 312 parking spaces were offered in the first phase.
