Hundreds of top managers from nearly 20 renowned multinationals in Shanghai attended a youth talent development forum on Oct 14.
Working in a wide range of fields including medicine, trade, finance, automobiles, science, and technology, the attendees gave suggestions on helping the city create a better environment for the growth of young talented personnel.

Yin Hong, deputy Party secretary of Shanghai, said that the city has attached great importance to the attraction and cultivation of young talented personnel and has kept expanding its talent pool.
Attendees such as Wang Lei, executive vice president of AstraZeneca, Rashid Qureshi, chairman and CEO of Nestle China, and Celina Chew, chairman of Bayer China, talked about the training of young talented personnel based on the practice of their companies.
Some attendees were appointed as tutors for Shanghai's young talented personnel during the summit. They are expected to use their expertise and experience to help the city attract, cultivate, and retain talented personnel.
Wang Yu, the secretary of Communist Youth League of China Shanghai Committee, expressed his hope that foreign-invested enterprises in Shanghai will unite as a force to help the young talents in the city develop better.
