The green coverage rate of Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, has reached 39.87 percent, 3.9 percentage points higher than the national level, the local government announced recently.
Hohhot has made great efforts to expand its green coverage over many years.
To provide a better living environment, the local government has pushed forward the renovation of old residential communities and deserted areas across the city.
According to the local government, there are 37 parks in the city, with the total park area reaching 3974.25 hectares.
Statistics shows that the parkland area per person in the city is 17.27 square meters, much higher than the national standard.
