Zhanjiang athletes Li Liqing and Li Yanqing won two individual bronze medals at the 3rd Asian Para Games, which closed in Jakarta, capital of Indonesia, on Oct 13.
The 25-year-old Li Liqing, who has a visual impairment, is a native of Lianjiang and once took gold in women's 48-kg judo at the 2016 Summer Paralympics. She shared third place with Lee Kai-lin from Chinese Taipei in the women's 48-kg class.
Li Yanqing from Suixi county tied for third place with Uzbek judoka Sevinch Salaeva in the women's 52-kg class. The two also took bronze for the women's team 48-52kg category.
The Chinese delegation won 172 gold, 88 silver, and 59 bronze medals, leading the tournament for the third time in a row, while breaking seven world records and 21 Asian records during the eight days of fierce competition.
Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, will host the 2022 Asian Para Games and Wang Hong, vice mayor of the city, took over the Asian Paralympic Committee flag at the closing ceremony.
