A clinical skills competition for international students took place in Dalian, Northeast China’s Liaoning province, on Oct 13.
Co-hosted by the China Association for International Education (CAFSA) and Dalian Medical University, the competition attracted about 120 overseas medical students from 30 Chinese universities.
These overseas students arespan from 28 countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative, representing China’s strength in international medical education.
The competition was broadcasted live on the internet, winning attention both from home and abroad.
At present, a quarter of overseas students in China are studying medicine. At Dalian Medical University, there are over 1,000 overseas students from 110 countries and area. The diplomas they get are recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO).
