Lingbao city in Sanmenxia, Henan province was listed on the 2018 China Top 100 Counties (Cities) with Greatest Investment Potential, ranking 43rd on the list, according to national statistics released on Oct 8.
Announced by the Research Institute of Development Strategy for Small & Medium-Sized Cities, the list plays an important role in promoting the development of rural areas.
Situated at the junction of the provinces of Shaanxi, Shanxi and Henan, Lingbao is bordered by the Qinling Mountains in the south while the Yellow River flows past in the north. Enjoying a convenient geographic location and rich natural resources, the city boasts various titles, including City of Gold, Home of Apples and Headspring of the Taoist.
First ranked on the list in 2013, the city has so far been included six times, helping to boost the local economy, national popularity and attract more investment to the city.
