A new tax service center, located in Pingtan Administrative Service Center, was put into operation on Oct 8, opening up five service counters.
The new center is expected to boost the efficiency of tax services in Pingtan and improve the local business environment.
The center is divided into several areas based on their different functions, including a consulting area, waiting area and self-service area.
"People can check whether they have the proper materials at the consulting area before going to service counters. In the self-service area, they can find guidance for all kinds of tax business with the tablet PC," said Wang Ning, general manager of the tax service center.
Differing from the old layout of the tax service centers, the new center is equipped with a service station, offering a commonly used medicine and lost and found service.
"Sometimes people may forget their identifications or common seals while handling business in the center, yet with the lost and found service, they can find their things back," added Wang.
