Central state-owned enterprises prepare for the CIIE

The first China International Import Expo is expected to launch from Nov 5 to 10 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. More than 2,800 companies from over 130 countries and regions and more than 150,000 domestic and foreign purchasers will come to join the event.

The central state-owned enterprises have been preparing for the upcoming event, ensuring the safety and reliable supply of electricity and networks.

The core area power transmission lines entry project has been completed

The core area power transmission lines entry project has been completed. It lasted for more than half a year, covering eight roads including Longlian Road, Songze Avenue, Panzhong Road, Xumin Road, Xiewei Road, Huqingping Highway, Laiqing Road and Panlong Road. The total length of 50.924 kilometers of overhead lines and 578 base poles were removed. In the early stage of the project, the State Grid Shanghai Municipal Electric Power Company planned and designed the regional power grid of the National Exhibition and Convention Center according to the standards of the world-class urban energy Internet, selecting suitable sites for the eight newly-built switch stations and two distribution substations.

With the overhead line put into construction, the National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) has been changed from the power supply of the original overhead line network to the power supply of the cable network, which effectively reduces the impact of lightning strikes and external force damage on the reliability of the power supply.

For the ground, the 10 kV cable backbone network will form a double-loop network connection mode with a two-terminal K-type station, and will simultaneously implement the self-healing system, with this, the distribution automation will constitute a 10 kV double-loop self-healing grid. Structurally, when one power supply fails, the system can quickly and automatically isolate the fault, restoring the power supply of the faultless part, and put in other lines, greatly shortening the power outage duration.

Safe production and reliable supply of electricity are ensured

In order to ensure the safe production and reliable supply of electricity during the expo, Huadian Shanghai Co carried out the power safety guarantee meritorious performance competition in the power generation enterprises of the system, advocating gathering strength for the expo and making contributions for the perfection.

Advanced intelligent perception network contributes to the expo

For the upcoming China International Import Expo, the Shanghai branch of China Unicom has completed the construction, expansion and optimization of key venues and transportation hubs in accordance with the highest standards and quality, fully taking different contingent accidents into consideration and formulating a personalized emergence response.

The company is currently conducting investigation and elimination of hidden danger, emergency drilling and stress test for multiple rounds to ensure the preparation of the expo.

During the expo, the branch will ensure its network security by dispatching 5G drones four times a day including during morning, noon, night and midnight, which will automatically take off and land to check and confirm that the onshore route of China Unicom cable land works well.

The first batch of exhibits to the expo were successfully separated

The first batch of exhibits from Philippines for the CIIE, shipped by China COSCO Shipping Corporation Limited, arrived in Shanghai on Oct 3, and then was successfully break bulked at the company on Oct 4, completing its first operation of the international shipping service.

The National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) is ready for the expo

The National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai) has completed its preparation work for the expo. The center was built by the China Construction Eighth Engineering Division Co. The center has a total area of 1.47 million square meters, with 1.27 million sq m above ground. It is the largest exhibition center in the world.

The second-floor air gallery connecting the center and the Hongqiao Business District has now been fully integrated. At present, various auxiliary projects such as transportation and environmental improvement around the center have been completed and have entered their final stage, taking on a new look to welcome guests from all over the world.
