Sculpture park opens in Dalian

Dalian International Sculpture Park in Dalian, Liaoning province opened for visitors on Sept 29.

The park was built with the support of the China City Sculptor Association and Dalian High-tech Zone Management Committee; it is the first ocean-themed sculpture park in China.

The park covers a seaside area of 11,000 square meters, and has a giant square measuring 4,500 sq m. More than 100 sculptures are set to be installed in the future. Renowned sculptors from China, France and Belarus are expected to be involved in the development of new artwork for the park. 

At present, the park is home to 30 sculptures.
