Three tourist attractions in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, have opened their doors for free in late August, announced Inner Mongolia Development and Reform Commission recently.
The three tourist attractions are Wuta Temple, General's Office Museum and Baita Scenic Area.
The move comes after the regional government's efforts to lower ticket prices at its major tourist attractions to lure more visitors.
Four other tourist spots in Inner Mongolia have slashed their entrance fees by an average of 30.2 percent.
According to the regional government, it will act swiftly in cracking down on high fees and price hikes during the upcoming National Day holiday.
