Shanghai opened an exhibition on Sept 26 to commemorate the 40th anniversary of China's reform and opening up policy.
The policy that started in 1978 has created China's economic miracle, and is still considered as the only way for modern China to make progress in its development and to realize the Chinese Dream.
Covering about 3,360 square meters, the Shanghai exhibition uses photos and real scenes to show people the city's drastic changes over the past four decades and draw a blueprint for the future.
The exhibition highlights four different development stages, including seeking breakthroughs (1978 - 1990), becoming a leader (1990 - 2012), entering a new era (2012 - 2017), and a new journey of reform and opening up (2017 -2035).
The exhibition will run until Oct 20.
Time: 9:00 am - 4:00 pm
Address: 1st Fl, E1, Shanghai Exhibition Center, 1000 Yan'an Middle Road, Jing'an district, Shanghai
