The Waigaoqiao Bonded Area of the Shanghai Free Trade Zone recently won five awards in fDi magazine, a division of the Financial Times that summarizes the latest activity in global investment, based on the evaluation of more than 1,200 global free zones in 2017.
The awards include the Overall Regional Award - Highly Commended-Asia Pacific, the Large Tenant Award - Highly Commended-Asia Pacific, the Advocacy Award, the Infrastructure Upgrades Award, and the Trade Facilitation Award.
Those honors indicate the positive effects of reforms and innovative measures carried out in the Shanghai FTZ and the worldwide recognition of the bonded area's improved business environment.
Authorities at the bonded area vowed that they will stick to the goal of developing into the best free trade zone in the world, and continue to promote trade facilitation, optimize the regional business environment, and pursue reform and innovation.
