Hengqin firm would coordinate Greater Bay architecture

Huazhong United Design & Consulting (Hengqin), the first venture of its kind in Guangdong Province to be jointly operated by Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, and Macao companies, has just settled in Hengqin New Area.

Lin Tung-yen & Li Guo-hao Consultants of Shanghai and Hong Kong, together with Macao-based Kit & Partners Consulting Engineering, will utilize advanced concepts and experience in urban facilities, architecture, fire safety, garden landscaping, and engineering safety and quality systems to consult on architectural engineering designs in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.

The Huazhong United plan is to synthesize opinions of the three parties. Not only will it highlight Hong Kong and Macao elements, but also will be feasible in the Chinese mainland.

The company anticipates receiving national qualifications and realizing an annual turnover of more than 10 million yuan ($1.5 million) within three years, according to its general manager, Yan Shu.

Meanwhile, it will bring Hong Kong and Macao's advanced engineering management system and design concepts to the Chinese mainland, and thereafter influence the Greater Bay Area, Portuguese-speaking countries, and others along the Belt & Road.
