Conghua Bridge opens to traffic

Conghua Bridge, one of Guangzhou's key municipal projects and a key node of the city's Three Vertical and Three Horizontal Traffic Network, opened to traffic on Sept 25.

The 1.39-kilometer bridge will play a key role in promoting Conghua's urban expansion. The design speed of the bridge is 60 kilometer per hour.

It is the fourth bridge to span the east and west sides of the Liuxi River and will ease the traffic pressure on Jiekou Bridge, which is over 60 years old and often jammed on holidays.
