As the National Day holiday is coming up, many people have started to plan a seven-day trip.
Sanya, a tourist destination in Hainan province renowned both at home and abroad, recently became more popular online thanks to short videos about local tourist attractions shot by netizens.
Atlantis Sanya
China's first Atlantis resort opened in Sanya on April 28, marking a tourism milestone in tropical Hainan province and ushering in a higher level of service with integrated high-end entertainment, said local officials.
The landmark one-stop resort complex, built with an 11 billion yuan ($1.74 billion) investment, provides larger-than-life exotic and marine exhibits and offers rich dining experiences. The complex is located at Haitang Bay, which has beautiful beaches that stretch more than 10 km in northern Sanya, dubbed by some as the Hawaii of the East.
It has the first Atlantis Aquaventure Waterpark in Asia and the third in the world. The park has 15 top-level waterslides, the most exciting of which has become popular among young people through online short video platforms. Challengers start from a height of 25.1 m and at an angle of 75 degrees and fall through a tunnel surrounded by sharks in just three to four seconds.
The park also has a 1.8-km drifting river that fits a whole family. Nineteen mini slides are specially prepared for children and different scenes created at the Lost Chambers Aquarium add to their immersive experiences.
Yanuoda Cliff Swing
The Yanuoda Cliff Swing, located on a cliff at a height of 300 m, is the first and only cliff swing in Hainan province. Tourists can enjoy sea and mountain scenery from a 270-degree viewing angle.
Yalong Bay Sea-view Glass Skywalk
The first sea-view glass skywalk of Hainan province opened to the public on July 29.
Located at the Yalong Bay Tropical Paradise Forest Park in Sanya, the skywalk has a length of over 400 m and offers 360-degree perspectives of beautiful Yalong Bay.
