Day seven: Guandong Movie and TV Town – Industrial Museum of China – The Frontier Bank (Shenyang Financial Museum) – Eight Bowls of Manchu Nationality
Guandong Movie and TV Town, located in the Qipan Mountain scenic spot, features 177 buildings constructed in the style of the late Qing Dynasty and the early Republic of China. The "town" brings together tourism and the film and television industries. Showcasing Guandong (east of Shanhaiguan) culture of the early 20th century, it is the only facility of its kind in China.
The Industrial Museum of China covers 80,000 square meters with a floor area of 60,000 square meters. Housing more than 30,000 cultural relics dating back over 4,000 years, it also functions as a research base for industrial culture and historic Chinese industrial materials.
The Frontier Bank (Shenyang Financial Museum), being the largest financial museum in China with the widest range of exhibits, takes advantage of the former site of Frontier Bank held by Zhang Zuolin and his son Zhang Xueliang during the Republic of China era. The building was designed by German designers and completed in 1930, and listed as a national key cultural relic protection unit in 1996.
The Eight Bowls of Manchu Nationality are the traditional dishes of the Manchu people, largely established during the Emperor Qianlong period of the Qing Dynasty.
