Hohhot to start winter heating in October

Hohhot, capital city of North China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, plans to start winter heating on Oct 15.

Hohhot Urban and Rural Construction Committee and Hohhot Municipal Public Utility Administration Bureau made the announcement on Sept 17.

According to the authorities, the area supplied with heat in the city will amount to 144 million square meters this year.

The local government requested that the optimization of the heat distribution network be finished before Oct 15.

Heating companies will start trial operations on Oct 10 to ensure the quality and safety of the heat-supply services.
