Linfen holds provincial tourism development conference

More than 600 guests discussed plans for tourism reform and development, as well as the construction of new holistic tourism destinations at the 2018 Shanxi Tourism Development Conference in Linfen city, Shanxi province, on Sept 20.

Organized by Shanxi Provincial Tourism Development Commission and Linfen government, the annual conference was the largest one ever held.

With a focus on Shanxi's history and scenery, the event included a conference, a finance and investment fair, and a meeting to promote tourist products and suggested routes for visitors. The event aimed to attract fresh investment to the province's tourism industry and promote its attractions.

A report on the development of Shanxi's tourism industry in 2018 and an investment brochure for tourism highlighting the Yellow River, the Great Wall and Taihang Mountains were released by the Provincial Tourism Development Commission at the conference.
