The 5.41-sq km Shuimentang Scenic Spot improves the environment of the surrounding commercial and residential buildings and promotes the local tourism industry. The park is equipped with sound production facilities, such as water, electricity, gas and land, and its comprehensive investment cost is only one third of that of the coastal developed areas.

The Modern Industrial Park is the only park in Lu’an city that enjoys cooperation with northern Anhui province. It is an important part of Huoqiu county’s “121” Four Platforms project. By making full use of the Hefei high-tech zone’s advantages on scientific and technological research and development, talent reserves, investment and advanced concepts, the park is expected to become a high-end modern industrial base with strong competitiveness and production capacity. 

The modern industrial base will support Huoqiu’s economic transformation, upgrading and accelerating development. It seized the opportunity of “cooperation and construction” with Hefei high-tech zone. The Huoqiu Modern Industrial Park has made full use of Hefei high-tech zone’s advantages on R&D, industrial development and imported and nurtured strategic emerging industries such as electronic information and high-end equipment manufacturing. It has also stimulated industrial transfer in coastal developed areas through vigorously developing industries such as energy saving, environmental protection, “Internet plus”, big data, and e-commerce. 

On the basis of the former Chengbei Industrial Park‘s industry development, the Huoqiu Modern Industrial Park promotes the transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. The park also develops modern tourism and  cultural and creative industries by taking advantage of Shuimentang Ecological Landscape resources. Its logistics, financing, health and old-age care, outsourcing and other productive and active services have also been improved and boosted local development.
