New miniature landmark 'Little Big City Beijing' opens in the capital

Little Big City Beijing recently opened in the capital's historical Qianmen Street, a miniature venue that showcases the city's culture and history since the Yuan Dynasty (1271-1368).

Visitors can enjoy a miniature version of Beijing's traditional architecture including the Forbidden City as well as more than 6,000 miniature figures from all walks of life. They will have to looks closely to notice all the historical figures among these miniature "residents".

The attraction is a good place for children to learn about Beijing through vivid holograms and interactive experiences. For example, they will learn about how the Great Wall was built and listen to anecdotes from the emperors over the ages.

There is also a miniature scene that showcases China's military parade in 2015, which commemorated the 70th anniversary of the victory in the War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression (1937-45).

Those who participated in the 2015 military parade, and veterans from the war, can visit the attraction for free.
