Quzhou has been attaching great importance to the economic exchanges and cooperation with African countries and regions.
To expand their businesses in Africa, the city has set up a center to promote the trade and investment with the continent and built a service platform for local companies to develop cross-border trade.
In 2017, the value of imports and exports between Quzhou and Africa reached 3.3 billion yuan ($481.1 million), a year-on-year increase of 73.9 percent.
This year, to further enhance the trade with Africa, Quzhou announced the opening of a new economic and trade center in June where countries including Ethiopia and Morocco have set up their own pavilions to display native specialties and showcase their distinctive cultures.
