International cashmere wool expo unveils in Ordos

The 2018 China (Ordos) International Cashmere Wool Conference and Exhibition opened in Dongsheng district, Ordos on Sept 14, enticing the participation of hundreds of industry-leading cashmere entrepreneurs, experts, exhibitors and dealers from across the world.

The event received the attendance of more than 100 exhibitors and 50 dealers from over 50 countries including the United States and Germany, and nearly 600 purchasers and traders from Shanghai, Zhejiang and Ningxia.

The conference was co-organized by China International Chamber of Commerce, Inner Mongolia Trade Promotion Association and Ordos municipal government. 

It adopts the model of government-led, enterprise operation and market-oriented operation, and mainly includes forums, exhibitions, product promotion fairs, business negotiation and agreement signing ceremonies. 

The cashmere wool industry is an advantageous and characteristic business in Inner Mongolia, with intense international competition and in urgent need of creativity. 

Ordos has played an important role in prospering the cashmere market, expanding the export of cashmere products, increasing the employment and income of local farmers and herdsmen.
