The management committee of the Xiamen free trade zone recently introduced ten measures to attract Taiwan professional talents, local media reported.
The ten measures state that the zone supports local companies in hiring Taiwan talents, including senior management personnel, technical personnel and talents specialized in intellectual property rights.
The newly-launched measures also encourage Taiwan youths to start a business in the free trade zone by offering interest discounts on start-up loans, support Taiwan-based startups' entry into local national cross-Straits youth entrepreneurs bases by issuing cash rewards and help them to get jobs or start businesses with housing allowances at local national cross-Straits youth entrepreneurs bases.
Those cross-Straits youth entrepreneurs bases and business incubators in the Xiamen free trade zone hiring Taiwan talents and offering them startup platforms, internships, and practical training will be rewarded by the free trade zone's organizing committee.
According to the ten measures, the committee also encourages its key companies, industrial parks, and youth entrepreneur bases to conduct exchange activities with talented Taiwan people and support them to establish affiliated agencies and liaison offices in Taiwan.
In recent years, the Xiamen free trade zone has constantly improved its policies to attract talented Taiwan personnel. Statistics show that since its establishment in March 2015, the zone has housed another 1,113 Taiwan-invested companies with a registered capital of 18.9 billion yuan ($2.75 billion).
