Frost falls on Yakeshi after White Dew

As cool breeze blows, the autumn is around the corner after the first day of White Dew, the 15th solar term of on Chinese calendar which begins this year on Sept 8 and ends on Sept 22. Yakeshi in Inner Mongolia has embraced light frost falling on plants, creating an early autumn scene.

The traditional Chinese lunar calendar divides the year into 24 solar terms. White Dew indicates the real beginning of cool autumn. The temperature gradually declines and the vapor in the air often condenses into white dew or frost on the grass and trees at night.
