The 20th China International Optoelectronic Exposition was held in Shenzhen, South China's Guangzhou province, on Sept 5.
A delegation from Zhangjiagang, East China's Jiangsu province took part to seek cooperation in bolstering local optoelectronic industry development.
Led by Zhao Yu, the deputy secretary of Daxin town, the delegation visited the booth of Changchun University of Science and Technology, where twelve Zhangjiagang companies demonstrated their products. Zhao also introduced the town's general situation in developing optoelectronic sectors and its supportive policies.
Delegation members enjoyed a deep exchange with representatives of some optical precision machinery and physics institutions of Changchun in Jilin province, Xi'an in Shaanxi province and Dalian in Liaoning province. Guanzhou Qingyuan Company, which engages in advanced materials, intends to cooperate with Zhangjiagang when it gets to know the city's startup environment.
Through the expo, Zhangjiagang docked with over 20 high-tech companies and gained experience in promoting local optoelectronic industry development.
Founded in 1999, China Intl Optoelectronic Expo is the world's largest and most influential event in the optoelectronic field. The expo, covering communications, lasers, infrared, precision optics, optoelectronic innovation and optoelectronic sensing, has provided an importance exchange platform for businessmen to seek new products and get to know the market.
