Central African Republic President visits Shanghai

Central African Republic President Faustin-Archange Touadéra visited Shanghai on Sept 10 to seek strengthened cooperation with the city.

Touadéra emphasized Shanghai's significant role in China's development and expected to build close ties with Shanghai to achieve common development.

Ying Yong, mayor of Shanghai, extended a warm welcome to the president and agreed with the cooperation, as China and African countries have a community of shared interests.

Shanghai, China’s largest economic center and a pioneer of China’s reform and opening up, strives to further boost its economy, finance, trade, shipping, and science and technology and to develop into a global city.
