A Lianjiang delegation comprised of 35 household appliance companies made a strong showing at the 25th China Household Electrical Appliance Fair (CHEAF), landing nearly 300 million yuan ($43.7 million) in deals with over 100 clients during the three-day event.
The fair, which was held at the Huangpu International Convention and Exhibition Center in Zhongshan, attracted around 500 enterprises. More than 500 household appliances were showcased within an exhibition area of 35,000 square meters.
Lianjiang-made electric kettles, rice cookers, and induction cookers were popular among buyers from across the country and sold like hot cakes.
A county-level city in Zhanjiang, Lianjiang is home to 119 household appliance enterprises above designated size, which achieved a total output value of 5.7 billion yuan in the first half of this year. Due to a saturated market, the local household appliance sector is seeking to transform by shifting its focus to customization and intelligent manufacturing.
