A group of 70 healthcare workers from the national health emergency team carried out a two-day free clinic activity in Hechi on Sept 8.
At the opening ceremony of the activity, healthcare workers introduced the diagnosis and treatment of some common diseases, and provided free examinations of supersonic, electrocardiogram and X-ray to popularize basic knowledge of the illness to the masses.
The team also taught people basic principles and steps in CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) and invited volunteers to practice in prevention and control measures of some key infectious diseases to raise their awareness of self-protection.
Launched by the National Health Commission, the large-scale free medical consultation and health service activity is beneficial to popularizing general medical knowledge, including the screening and treatment of some complicated diseases. The activity will also help advocate a healthy lifestyle and guide people to seek medical advice in a scientific way.
