A cross-border e-commerce regulatory center was recently introduced to Hunchun, Jilin Province, stimulating the province's cross-border e-commerce industry.
With a total investment of 54.91 million yuan ($8 million), the project includes sorting lines for custom inspections, regulatory warehouses and informatization systems, aiming to provide comprehensive services such as information sharing, financial services and intelligent logistics for e-commerce enterprises in northeastern Asia.
As an important city along the ancient Belt and Road and also a transportation hub bordering Russia and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea, Hunchun offers a perfect environment for the development of cross-border commerce.
Supported by the city's regional advantages, the regulatory center successfully inspected and delivered $128,000 worth of goods ordered on e-commercial websites to Russia on Aug 13, and will continue to improve its services in bonded warehouse storage.
