Investment environment forum held in Changchun

To further open up industry and commerce, an investment environment forum was held in Changchun, Jilin province on Sept 4, drawing 278 business representatives from 20 countries to the city.

Fourteen projects with a total investment of 34.22 billion yuan ($5 billion) were introduced to Changchun, and four strategic cooperation agreements with an investment of 1.2 billion yuan ($ 175 million) were signed at the forum.

Wang Junzheng, secretary of the Municipal Party Committee of Changchun, delivered a speech on the industrial advantages obtained by Changchun in recent years. He stressed the government's solid support for foreign enterprises and appealed for a deepening cooperation between the two sides.

Group meetings on each project were held in the afternoon of the same day. A foreign investment forum and a new-energy vehicle industry forum were also organized to introduce local enterprises and development zones to foreign investors.
