Dalian Jiaotong University (DJTU) is an institution of higher education, established in 1956 in Dalian, Liaoning province. The university is dedicated to cultivating professionals in the area of rail traffic and software.

DJTU has two campuses, in Shahekou district and in Lushunkou district, covering an area of 821,000 square meters. At present, the university has 929 faculty members, as well as hundreds of academic appointments, and 17,499 full-time students.

Continuing to open-up globally, the university has established international exchanges and cooperation with over 70 universities and institutes in Australia, the United States, United Kingdom, Japan, Russia, Singapore, Canada, Sweden, Germany, France, and South Korea.

In 2004, the China-Japan Friendship Dalian Center for Human Resource Development was established at the university.

Overseas students studying for a master or doctoral degree at DJTU can also apply for the Chinese Government Scholarship. The scholarship winners will not only be exempted tuition and accommodation fees, but also be granted 3,000 yuan ($438.58) (postgraduate) and 3,500 yuan (doctor) every month.

DJTU has a postgraduate college and 13 subordinate colleges, offering overseas students the following academic programs. Foreign students can also study Chinese at the university.
