Bama expedites construction of tourism zone

Bama Yao autonomous county has witnessed a steady growth in tourism industry since completion of infrastructure construction at the Bama Longevity Health International Tourism Zone.

With breathtaking landscapes of lakes and mountains, as well as rich negative oxygen ions, the zone has attracted a crowd of visitors from home and abroad to admire its natural beauty.

In order to accelerate the zone's core area construction, the county has implemented an all-for-one tourism strategy that coordinates urban and rural resources and fuels the county's vitality as a market player. The goal is to promote tourism and establish the Bama brand of tourism products in a coordinated way. Besides, the county wants to create innovative mechanisms for the infrastructure construction of its core area to speed up transformation and upgrading of its tourism industry.

The new three-year action plan, meaning the three-year infrastructure construction of the Bama Longevity Health International Tourism Zone from 2017 to 2019, has 17 core area projects with a total investment of 112.6 billion yuan ($16.5 billion), which will bring huge economic and social benefits to Bama.
