The ancient buildings in the traditional Chinese architectural style in the village were mostly built in the late Qing Dynasty (1644-1911), with exquisite brick carvings on the curved roofs, brick walls, and wooden doors and windows.
The well-preserved residential buildings reflect the long history of the Sunbudong Village, and have high historical and cultural value. It was listed among the first batch of Tai'an's historical buildings.
