According to the Guizhou Economy and Information Commission, Guizhou has made strong progress in green development since it began its enterprise reform efforts in 2016.
As a major strategic measure in supply-side structural reform in Guizhou, the enterprise reform project aims to transform industrial enterprises in the areas of information, green development and services.
From 2016 to 2020, Guizhou will lend its help to 600 rising technology-oriented small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and reform 1,000 enterprises per year.
During the first half of this year, Guizhou reformed 1,513 companies and 1,691 projects, spending a total of 78.3 billion yuan ($11.5 billion).
The energy consumption of industrial added value decreased 14.1 percent from 2016 to 2017, while the utilization rate of large industrial solid wastes reached 62 percent, showing strong green development in Guizhou.
The enterprise reform project will be finished by 2020 and will cost 700 billion yuan, while the output of new products will exceed 100 billion yuan.
Guizhou will make full use of emerging technologies in the areas of big data, Internet Plus and intelligent manufacturing to re-adjust the industrial structure and upgrade industrial companies.
