Dong Dong, who won back-to-back victories at the 2010 and 2014 Asian Games, took a third consecutive gold in men's trampoline at this year's Asiad in Jakarta, Indonesia, with a score of 59.925 points.

His compatriot Gao Lei came in second with a score of 59.22 points, and Kazakhstan's Pirmammad Aliyev ranked third with 57.460 points.

This marks the fourth time China has taken both gold and silver medals at the Asian Games since the trampoline was introduced in the 2006 Doha Games.

Aged 29, Dong was born in Xichuan county, Nanyang in 1989. He won gold at the 2012 Olympics after having taken bronze at the 2008 Olympics. Four years later, he extended the glory by winning a silver medal at the 2016 Rio Games.

Already a veteran in the discipline, Dong said he was enjoying the game rather than just focusing on winning.
