China Southern Airlines began its operation of a new air route from the southern Chinese city of Guangzhou to Lahore, the second largest city in Pakistan, on Aug 28.
It is the first direct route from Guangzhou to Pakistan and will offer not only more convenient travel between China and Pakistan but also better interconnection of countries and regions involved in the Belt and Road Initiative.
Four flights will be operated between the two cities every week by a Boeing 737 MAX8 on Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. The Guangzhou-to-Lahore flight will depart from Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport at 17:35 and arrive at the Pakistan city at 20:45. The return flights will leave Lahore at 22:00 and land in Guangzhou 06:50.
